Tropical Paradise is inspired by the vibrant and rich history of the Caribbean. As a Haitian woman, I created this piece to pay homage to the lush landscape of the Caribbean, the sun-kissed beaches, warm climate, and diverse culture. The woman pictured, wears a headscarf, a traditional symbol of care, protection, and culture pride amongst Black women. The muse is surrounded by butterflies, representing transformation, growth, and the promise of new beginnings.
